Pastor Travis, the founder of Tree of Life Ministries, was ordained in the Ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ in July 2001 and has served as senior Pastor for 21 years all in urban ministry settings. Pastor Lock has an associate's degree in applied science, a bachelor's in biology, and Honorary bachelor's and master's degrees in theology. He is married to Pastor Patricia, and they have six children, fourteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Pastor Travis loves reading, quality time with family, great food, recreation, and fellowship with Gods people. He has had the opportunity along with his wife to see the Lord do so many marvelous things which prompted him to write. His vision is to blend the rich tradition of the church, a Christian experience, a unique understanding of the word, and a desire to walk in the Holy Spirit. He believes that it is these qualities that will empower and enlighten the people of God.
